BMW Films Presents The Escape

The Escape - Clive Owen BMW

The Escape – Clive Owen BMW

It may not have a high educational value but it is great entertainment.

It’s been 15 years since BMW made its first foray into Hollywood with BMW Films and its short film series “The Hire.” In celebration of that milestone, BMW Films produced a new short film titled “The Escape,” starring Clive Owen who reprises his role as the driver.

If BMW’s “The Escape” is anything close to the 2001 original “The Hire” it will be well worth watching. Each episode of The Hire featured Clive Owen behind the wheel of various vehicles, ranging from the Z3 roadster to the M5 and X5.

The Hire was separated into a series of four YouTube videos. By far (IMHO) the best was “The Star” which included Madonna

BMW has not announced full plans for The Escape, but the first 13-minute video will likely be among several segments with related plots and different directors and characters. The first episode of The Escape has already succeeded in tallying more than 1.5 million views on YouTube.
