The California AB5 Law and the Gig Economy

There are a substantial number of EP practitioners working in California and the Gig Economy. A California bill (AB5) set to become law is directed at the Uber and Lyft drivers, but it may impact ISDA Members supplying executive protection and secure transportation services in California. We strongly suggest members working in California to ensure they comply with the law, which takes effect on January 1, 2020.
