We provide a 7-week Protective Security certificate approved for GI Bill Funding. The program consists of 5 modules, including:
MODULE 1 – 7-day Protective Driving Package
In the first three days, we deliver vehicle dynamics following Tony Scotti’s tried and trued techniques. We then move on to contact driving (push outs, linear ramming, PIT and Counter PIT), off-road recovery and skid control. Once students are safe and comfortable with these driving skills, we go onto “street” simulation, oncoming traffic, slow movers, traffic scenarios and Immediate Actions, Push Throughs, Limo Down, and other relevant drills with single vehicles, then 2 vehicle motorcade, then 3 vehicle motorcade configurations. We conduct 1 full day of unimproved and off-road driving for protective agents. Our team has needed these skills protecting electrical engineers in Iraq, solar technicians in Mexico and many other duty locations and details. All these skills come together in 2-night driving evolutions, one utilizing Night Vision Devices on unimproved roads with blacked-out vehicles and one on “streets” working on the motorcade driving skills in a night-time dynamic complete with traffic and the occasional aggressive and potentially threatening vehicle. The final day brings all skills together as students will pick up their “Client” from a DC aircraft adjacent to the driving area, handle a variety of scenarios while rotating through six different drivers on right front seat positions. Students are graded in each position on a variety of skills and tasks. The finals day, students will also rotate through an Off-Road articulation final, Vehicle Dynamics and, Reverse driving final, as well as a comprehensive final written test. Our goal designing this course was to exceed the standards of our instructor’s prior service on HT protective details, GRS, DOS, and military special operations training while keeping in sight limitations of corporate domestic security protocols.
MODULE 2: High-Risk First Responder, which includes, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer, Tactical Combat Casualty Care Provider certification via the NAEMT, and medical emergencies (Cardiac, Stroke, Severe allergy, etc)
MODULE 3: Corporate & Celebrity Protection. This course covers the day-to-day and less glamorous parts of the Executive Protection profession. Advance Work, Mission Planning, Mapping, Daily reporting, writing AARs, expense tracking, and reporting, personal branding, resume and interview clinics, corporate blending, communications, emotional intelligence, working in and around the C-suite. This block of instruction finishes off with a 24-hour detail in Los Angeles. Students will work in small teams and after advancing airports, hotels and venues, track their client’s flights, pick up at LAX airport, check into a realistic accommodation, and take their principals to the advanced venues with several OTR (Off the record) movements thrown in to exaggerate the reality of low-medium risk details. Students are graded during the entire detail on a variety of skills and tasks.
MODULE 4: High Threat Protection. This is our hard skills training module and all previously learned skills will be brought back into play. Detail protocols, medical scenarios will be added to worst-day at the office scenarios after comprehensive 1-week combat marksmanship from protective individuals. We add a foreign weapons familiarization and competency module for those who may find themselves working OCONUS. 2 additional details are run during the High Threat portion of training complete with full advances, mission plans, and mapping. The HT portion of training finishes off with several days of challenging testing that continues to build on all previous training modules.
MODULE 5: Surveillance Detection and Technical Surveillance Countermeasures. This course module is divided between physical surveillance detection, planning and executing SDRs, cyber counter surveillance, phone, wifi, and Bluetooth security as well as drone area surveillance/counter-surveillance. Students will visit actual high-end estates, set up complete surveillance detection posture, sweep for a variety of devices. Students will also complete multiple client movements utilizing the surveillance detection techniques learned during this module.
Once all scores are tabulated students will be placed into 1 of 5 Tiers based on their overall score, and other graded factors. All that successfully complete the 7-week, the five-module program will receive the PSC plaque and certificate as well as all the individual modules and medical certificates.
